Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, this is a pivotal role at the heart of the business, where you’ll deliver high‑quality accounting, control and reporting services for external clients, while managing both customer and supplier accounting. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement across financial processes.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing day‑to‑day accounting activities, ensuring compliance with Maltese regulations
- Producing monthly and annual financial statements and overseeing VAT returns
- Monitoring budgets, expenses and income while maintaining accurate balance sheets
- Supporting payroll accounting, filings and reporting
- Preparing timely internal and external financial reports
- Liaising with auditors, tax authorities, banks and internal stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, tools and processes
- Fully qualified/master's degree in accounting
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong knowledge of Maltese accounting and tax regulations
- Experience with accounting software (SAGE and Spendesk preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Fluent English, high attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously
- A proactive, solution‑focused mindset and strong team ethic
