Technical Crew Member / CAT A Certifying Staff – Malta
Location: Malta
Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Type: Full-time
The Opportunity This is a unique hybrid role combining operational flying support with hands-on engineering responsibility within a HEMS environment.
As a Technical Crew Member (TCM) and CAT A Certifying Engineer, you’ll play a key role both on the ground and in the air — supporting mission readiness, assisting medical crews, and carrying out line maintenance with certifying authority.
Key Responsibilities Operational (TCM):
  • Support the Pilot in Command with flight preparation and aircraft readiness
  • Assist medical teams with patient handling and equipment
  • Act as a safety presence during ground and flight operations
  • Fly on missions providing operational support
  • Maintain base standards across facilities and equipment
Engineering (CAT A):
  • Perform and certify line maintenance tasks within CAT A approval
  • Issue Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) for work carried out
  • Troubleshoot and rectify minor defects
  • Ensure compliance with Part-66, Part-145, and company procedures
  • Maintain accurate technical records and handovers
Requirements
  • EASA Part-66 CAT A Licence
  • Experience in helicopter line maintenance
  • Strong understanding of safety and compliance in operational environments
  • Ability to work in a high-responsibility, mission-critical setting
  • Team-oriented with a proactive mindset
