Job Description

Goose is looking for a Crew Planner who will be responsible for the handling of the planning and maintenance of monthly crew rosters, considering the respective FTL, CHZ Contract and FCP, training requirements, standby coverage, and annual leave.
 
Responsibilities:
  • The planning and maintaining of monthly crew rosters
  • Ensuring all flights are covered legally and complementary in accordance with the relevant regulatory and legislation and Company operations manuals
  • Managing the crew manpower plan and maintain a forecast of optimum crew numbers regarding new-hires and upgrades, as well as tracking attrition and retirements
  • Tracking the completion of ground/line training requirements for flight crew
  • Managing the flight crew annual leave process to ensure that all annual leave is utilised within the calendar year and allocated fairly
  • Issuing monthly reports on crew KPI's
  • Working closely with the Commercial dept to evaluate future schedules, ad-hoc charter opportunities and provides feedback to the business based on identified crew impact/costs
  • The Coordination of hotel volume and requirements with crew accommodations providers
  • It also involves paying close attention to the current state of flight operations, especially during periods of inclement weather or other circumstances that may result in delays and/or flight cancellations
  • Crew schedulers are responsible for performing continuous auditing and verification of coverage of all scheduled flights, and monitoring of crew member schedules to ensure legality/compliance
  • In the case of any alteration to schedules, they are responsible for notifying crew members of changes to daily/monthly schedule changes
  • They also play a vital role in ensuring operational excellence. Crew schedulers are required to utilise reserve crew members in the most efficient and expedient method available
Professional requirements:
  • High School degree min.
  • Additional qualification as Administrative assistant will be a plus
  • Previous consolidated experience on crew roster management;
  • IT skills: Ms Word, Ms PowerPoint, Ms Excel, Ms Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with people from various cultures
  • Disciplined to detail
  • Be diligent, reliable, and independent
  • Solid knowledge of office procedures
  • Require good administration & organization skills
