Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the management and optimization of revenue streams
- AWB Distribution Management: Overseeing the distribution and management of Air Waybills, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of cargo shipments. Coordinating with teams to maintain efficient processes for issuing, distributing, and tracking AWBs, which are vital documents for air cargo transportation.
- IATA/CASS Revenue Collection Guidelines: Ensuring adherence to IATA/CASS guidelines for revenue collection processes. This includes compliance with IATA/CASS regulations and standards regarding billing, invoicing, and revenue accounting for air cargo services.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintaining compliance with IATA regulations and industry standards related to revenue collection, AWB distribution, and claims handling. Keeping abreast of changes in IATA guidelines and implementing necessary adjustments in operational processes to stay compliant.
- Financial Oversight: Overseeing the financial aspects of revenue collection, monitoring billing and payment processes, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy in revenue reporting in accordance with IATA guidelines.
- Claims Handling: Managing cargo claims effectively by coordinating with relevant stakeholders, investigating incidents, and processing claims in adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements. This involves assessing claim validity, negotiating settlements, and ensuring fair resolution for all parties involved.
- Dispute Resolution: Managing disputes related to revenue collection, AWB distribution, or claims handling in accordance with IATA regulations. Facilitating resolutions between parties involved to maintain positive relationships and ensure fair and compliant outcomes.
- Documentation and Reporting: Ensuring proper documentation of revenue collection activities, claims processes, and AWB distribution. Generating comprehensive reports as required by IATA or internal auditing standards.
- Effective delivery of commercial analytics to support performance enhancement, constantly review/ evaluate commercial data, identify opportunities/ shortcomings, determine root causes, and recommend solutions/ actions.
- Ensure compliance with operational processes in the cargo system and regulatory requirements.
You will have experience in the Finance sector in the aviation industry and air cargo experience would be a distinct advantage. You will be confident using various business intelligence tools and technologies such as Tableau and Power BI.
You will be already be based in the UAE and live within commutable distance of Sharjah.
