Goose Recruitment are working with a leading Aviation Cargo company to source a seasoned Business Development Manager baaed in London, UK. 

Role Overview:

  • Acquire new business and explore opportunities to expand and enhance the customer and service portfolio.
  • Handle tender responses, contract renewals, Standard Ground Handling Agreements, and Service Level Agreements, including financial management.
  • Cultivate, maintain, and leverage your network to meet potential customers and build key relationships.
Responsibilities - including, not limited to:
  • Conduct research to build relationships with potential new customers.
  • Prepare carrier proposals, analyzing financial cost models.
  • Manage third-party subcontractors, negotiating service level agreements and ensuring performance.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations and promotional literature.
  • Innovate new products and services.
  • Resolve accounting queries with carriers and accounts.
  • Compile rate and activity information for financial budgets and forecasts.
  • Attend industry functions, providing feedback on market trends.
Key Results:
  • Drive profit and contract retention while securing new business.
  • Achieve Business Performance KPIs and implement Sales & Marketing Action Plans.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and progress in strategic plans.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
  • Senior management experience.
  • Familiarity with commercial processes, including Standard Ground Handling Agreements.
  • Knowledge of finance/accounts, competitor activities, and market trends.
  • Ability to identify customer needs and challenges.
