Employment Type: Full-Time, Senior Leadership
A dynamic and forward-thinking business aviation group is seeking a highly experienced and commercially driven Director of Aircraft Management to lead and grow its aircraft management offering across the UK and Europe.
This is a senior, visible role where the successful candidate will be the face of the business—owning relationships, shaping the commercial strategy, and acting with autonomy to scale the managed fleet and associated services.
We are looking for someone who combines strategic vision with the gravitas to represent the business confidently in front of aircraft owners, boards, and industry leaders. You must be able to operate independently, drive initiatives, and bring a strong, relevant network to the table from the outset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of Aircraft Management Growth:
Independently lead the strategy, development, and execution of aircraft management growth plans. Identify, qualify, and close new management opportunities through direct engagement with UHNWI, family offices, brokers, and operators. - Client Relationship Management:
Act as the senior point of contact for aircraft owners and decision-makers. Represent the business with confidence and credibility, both in one-on-one discussions and at industry events or presentations. - Strategic Planning and Market Analysis:
Design and execute long-term growth strategies based on thorough market insight, trend analysis, and competitive positioning. Stay ahead of developments in aircraft ownership models, AOCs, and management best practices. - Commercial & Financial Modelling:
Build and present financial models that support accurate forecasting, pricing, and profitability. Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure deals are commercially sound and service delivery is seamless. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with charter, operations, finance, and compliance teams to ensure end-to-end delivery of service once an aircraft joins the fleet. - Industry Presence:
Attend key industry forums, conferences, and networking events as a thought leader and representative of the business. Build pipeline opportunities through both inbound and outbound business development activities.
- Proven leadership in aircraft management sales, ideally with experience scaling a managed fleet or AOC offering.
- Deep understanding of the business aviation sector, including ownership structures, commercial models, and aircraft operations.
- Strong presence and gravitas—comfortable advising and negotiating at C-suite/UHNWI level.
- A proactive, strategic thinker with a hands-on commercial drive and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrable track record of building and leveraging a personal network within the private aviation sector.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple commercial initiatives, and drive business objectives independently.
- Competitive executive-level base salary
- Performance-based incentive structure
- Flexible on-location (UK or EU) with travel as required
If you have the network, the credibility, and the drive to lead from the front, we’d love to hear from you.
