GOOSE Recruitment have partnered with a leading UK-based business jet management company renowned for delivering bespoke private aviation services to an elite international client base. Operating a modern fleet of aircraft, this organisation is driven by a commitment to precision, safety, and service excellence. As the business continues to expand, we are seeking a motivated Flight Operations Controller to join their Operations team.

This is an entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in business aviation. As a Flight Operations Controller, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily coordination of flights, working closely with pilots, crew, and stakeholders to ensure flawless execution of every mission. You’ll gain first-hand exposure to flight planning, crew coordination, and operational logistics in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of flight schedules and preparation of flight plans, including route analysis, fuel planning, and overflight permissions.
  • Monitor weather conditions, NOTAMs, and airfield status, escalating operational concerns to senior team members as appropriate.
  • Liaise with flight crew, ground handlers, and clients to ensure seamless operational delivery.
  • Maintain accurate operational documentation in line with company and regulatory standards.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to crew and client enquiries.
  • Support the wider team with administrative duties and general operational support.
  • Participate in shift handovers to ensure operational continuity across the roster.
Candidate Profile
  • Ideally 1–2 years' experience in aviation operations.
  • Basic understanding of UK CAA/EASA regulations, or willingness to learn.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Confident IT user; knowledge of MS Office essential. Experience with flight planning or operations software is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team player who is flexible and able to thrive in a 24/7 shift-based environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Passionate about aviation with a strong desire to develop professionally within the sector.
Desirable Experience
  • Exposure to business aviation or high-end customer service environments.
  • Aviation-related qualification (e.g. dispatcher course or aviation studies).
  • Familiarity with international airspace and flight logistics.
