GOOSE Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading aviation organisation in their search for an experienced Head of QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) to lead the QHSE function across their European operations.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of QHSE will be responsible for defining and implementing the company’s QHSE strategy, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and driving continuous improvement across safety, quality, and environmental performance.

Head of QHSE – Netherlands

Start Date: December/January 
Travel: Up to 30% across Europe 

This is a key leadership position, ideal for an aviation professional with a strong background in compliance, quality assurance, and safety management who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the company’s QHSE framework across European sites.
  • Lead and mentor the QHSE team, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, including Part 145 requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and customer quality reviews.
  • Oversee environmental and sustainability initiatives aligned with ESG objectives.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement proactive risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, production, and customer teams to support operational excellence.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Safety Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Extensive leadership experience within aviation quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of aviation regulations and approval processes (e.g., Part 145).
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent qualification (preferred).
  • Proven experience in ESG-related initiatives, with focus on environmental and sustainability goals.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • You must hold the existing right to live and work in the EU to be considered for this role.
