Senior Business Development Manager – Charter & Aviation Solutions

Location: United Kingdom (with travel as required)

A leading player in private and business aviation is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive substantial charter revenue growth and lead commercial client acquisition across the UK and wider markets.

This role is designed for a high-calibre sales performer with a proven ability to deliver impressive profits, land long-term charter contracts, and open doors through a well-established network. The successful candidate will operate autonomously and be expected to bring both strategic thinking and front-line sales execution, acting as a key representative of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Revenue Generation & New Business:
    Own and exceed personal profit and revenue targets through direct sales efforts. Generate new charter business from corporate, UHNWI, and institutional clients, with a focus on high-margin and repeat-value contracts.
  • Client Development & Retention:
    Build strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers. Leverage your network to unlock opportunities and become a trusted advisor to clients. Ensure exceptional client experience that encourages long-term loyalty and retention.
  • Strategic Sales Execution:
    Identify and pursue key commercial opportunities, strategic partnerships, and corporate agreements. Proactively analyse market movements to stay ahead of competitors and influence commercial direction.
  • Leadership & Influence:
    Act as a commercial lead within the organisation, working cross-functionally with charter operations, marketing, finance, and leadership. Represent the business externally at high-profile industry events and client meetings.
  • Financial Oversight & Forecasting:
    Drive profitability through intelligent pricing, strong negotiation, and cost analysis. Understand and manage deal structures, client credit risk, and contractual obligations.
  • Innovation & Market Positioning:
    Contribute to product and service development, ensuring the business remains competitive and forward-thinking. Identify trends and align sales strategies accordingly.

  • Proven high performer in aviation or charter sales, with a consistent history of exceeding targets and driving revenue growth
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to close large-value deals independently
  • Deep network within the business aviation, charter brokerage, or UHNWI space

  • Strategic thinker who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, and competitive environment
