AW169 Commander Opportunity
 
Are you an experienced helicopter pilot or an experienced co-pilot looking for a new challenge/step up to a commander position? We are seeking qualified candidates to join our team for HEMS operations. This role involves delivering safe and exemplary service to our customers, patients, and public supporters.
 
Your Tasks:
  • Preparation of aircraft and flight documentation.
  • Adherence to the Operations Manual and all associated policies and procedures.
  • Conducting daily flight briefings to the duty HEMS team.
  • Ensuring the safe conduct of CAT flights for HEMS day/night operations under NVIS.
  • Maintaining strict time parameters and procedures in the interest of patients.
  • Following SOPs issued in partnership with our charity partners.
  • Delivering a consistently high level of service to customers, patients, and public supporters.
  • Engaging with customers' supporters, ex-patients, and undertaking public liaison events while on duty.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Delivering safe and exemplary service to our customers.
  • Displaying a professional and conscientious attitude at all times.
  • Representing the company and the customer while performing your role.
Your Profile: Required Experience:
  • UK CAA ATPL(H)/IR
  • Class 1 Medical
  • Either:
    • 1000 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours are as pilot-in-command of helicopters, or
    • 1000 hours as co-pilot in HEMS operations of which 500 hours are as pilot-in-command under supervision and 100 hours pilot-in-command of helicopters
  • 500 hours’ operating experience in helicopters gained in a similar operational environment
  • 20 hours of VMC at night as pilot-in-command
Desirable Experience:
  • AW169 Type Rating
  • HEMS operations
  • NVIS operations
The successful candidate must:
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK
  • Be able to pass an Enhanced DBS criminal record check
