Role Scope & Responsibilities Operational & Flying Duties
- Act as a line‑flying Captain on the H145, maintaining all licence, medical, and recency requirements
- Provide hands‑on operational leadership across daily helicopter activities
- Ensure aircraft readiness, crew availability, and operational reliability
- Serve as a visible operational leader to pilots and engineering teams
- Lead four (4) direct managers with approximately forty‑four (44) indirect employees
- Supervise, mentor, and support pilots, operational staff, and support teams
- Handle operational staffing matters, performance management, and discipline where required
- Promote a strong safety‑focused and professional operating culture
- Ensure full compliance with DGCA regulations, company manuals, and approved SOPs
- Oversee the regular review, update, and implementation of SOPs
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions as required
- Act as a senior operational representative with aviation authorities and stakeholders
- Prepare and manage operational budgets for the aviation business unit
- Monitor operating expenditure versus actuals and explain variances
- Support efficient utilisation of aircraft, crews, and resources
- Balance cost control with uncompromising safety standards
- Maintain operational oversight across multiple bases within the Indonesia region
- Travel as required to ensure consistency of standards and performance
- Ensure alignment of operational practices across all locations
- Current or recent H145 (BK117) Captain experience
- Background in civil helicopter charter or private aviation
- Experience as a Lead Captain, Chief Pilot, or equivalent operational leadership role
- Comfortable combining active flying with management responsibilities
- Strong working knowledge of helicopter charter operations
- Eligible to work under Indonesia taxation
- Willing to travel and operate across the Indonesia region
- Prior experience interfacing with the DGCA or other aviation regulators
- Experience leading managers and multi‑disciplinary aviation teams
- Practical understanding of operational cost control and budgeting
- ATP(H) licence
