GOOSE Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for an Operations & Crewing Manager on behalf of a reputable UK airline. 

Primary responsibilities and requirements:
Overall responsibility for the production and distribution of all crew rosters, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. Ensure sufficient crew numbers to achieve the required crew establishments to cover the schedule and any ad-hoc contracts.
Overall operational control of the daily flying schedule including provision of aircraft and Crews to carry out the daily schedule and charter programme to achieve the most efficient and punctual service.
 
Crewing:
  • Liaise with the Flight Operations Director to achieve required crew establishments.
  • Production and distribution of Flight Deck roster.
  • Liaise with Chief Pilot and Fleet Managers for training requirements.
  • Arrange ground, simulator and aircraft conversion training, plus any recurrent training.
  • Allocation of crew leave and organise cover for any sick / annual leave.
  • Supervising the input of voyage reports data to maintain the schedule for crew records and expense calculation.
  • Monthly crew expenses.
  • Authorise hotel and hire car invoices.
  • Request aircraft allocation for training through operations.
  • Ensure all hotac/hire cars and positioning flights for crew and processed.
  • Monitoring the legality, integrity and cost effectiveness of aircrew rosters.
Operations:
  • Liaising with the Technical Department to ensure aircraft are efficiently rotated for the most cost-effective use of all Company aircraft.
  • Ensuring the most favourable disposition of passengers in the event of any programme disruption together with subsequent efficient use of aircraft and crews.
  • Liaising with National and International Air Traffic Agencies on operational matters relevant to or affecting company operations.
  • In conjunction with the Chief Pilot the planning and provision of operational flight plans, navigation logs and fuel calculation tables including the assessment of the most economical routings consistent with the performance capabilities of the aircraft.
  • In conjunction with the Chief Pilot the production of any specialized route or airfield briefs which may be required. The production of Airfield Operating Minima and aerodrome categorisation details.
  • Providing information regarding flight times, payloads and fuel burns between airfields, and advising of any restrictions which may affect the operation of any flight.
  • The provision (including the maintenance and amendment) of an adequate supply of navigation plogs, performance data, current maps, charts and Jeppesen plates and supplements etc.
  • Ensuring that all Company aircraft libraries and documentation are kept fully amended and up to date including Jeppesen sets.
  • Carrying out any other reasonable task as required in pursuit of Company efficiency and effective operation.
