Key Responsibilities
- Direct and control rotary wing operations during your tour, ensuring compliance with CAR 119.51(b) and company policies.
- Maintain currency as a backup pilot to support the flying program.
- Oversee flight crew administration, including record-keeping, rostering, and monitoring qualifications and recency.
- Establish and manage check and training systems for pilots, aircrew, and ground staff.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Conduct regular visits to remote operations and provide weekly/monthly operational reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure aircraft maintenance aligns with company policy.
- Minimum 5,000+ flight hours on rotary wing aircraft.
- Endorsements on at least one helicopter type within the fleet (preferably two or more).
- Previous management experience, including Check & Training and/or CRM.
- IFR-rated with relevant operational experience.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on professionalism and safety.
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk assessment and risk management principles.
- ATPL - Helicopters required.
