The GOOSE Recruitment team is thrilled to announce that we have recently been engaged by Maldivian airline, Manta Air, to support them in their mission to recruit Pilots for a number of First Officers and Captain positions.

This partnership comes at an exciting time for GOOSE Recruitment as we continue to grow our global reach and our portfolio of fantastic clients within the Aviation industry.

Who are Manta Air?

“We are Manta Air. Your tropical way to fly!”

Manta Air is the newest airline to serve the Maldives and is on a mission to offer its customers a premium customer service with a difference.

Originally founded in 2016 and then officially establishing in 2018, Manta Air is the newest domestic airline carrier for the Maldives. Since announcing earlier this year that the airline was open for operation, this start-up is well on its way to becoming one of the best airlines to travel with and also to work for.

Manta Air has a goal to provide a “flying experience which is seamless, reliable and hospitable while providing an amazing experience in the skies.”

It is no secret that the Maldives is one of the paradises of the Indian Ocean. With over 1.4 million tourists heading to the 130 plus hotel resorts every year, Manta Air was founded due to the market demand for flights to the Maldives, as well as the island needing to expand its transport offerings and ability to cater for the growing Maldivian hospitality industry.

Flying routes

Flying between three of the main airports in the Maldives; Velana International Airport, Dhaalu Airport, and Dharavandhoo Airport, and soon Thimarafushi Airport, flying for Manta Air is a rare opportunity to work in one of the most desired locations in the world.

Manta Air operates a small fleet size of three aircraft and is headquartered out of Velana International Airport, Maldives. The size of the operation provides an excellent opportunity for Pilots looking to join an airline where they are a valued employee and not just a number. You will fly regularly with the same crew and will have no problem settling in and getting to know other staff by name – something that is harder when working for a larger airline. Additionally, being based in the same location as to where you are flying frees up the time you would usually spend travelling. Not to mention you’ll have the added bonus of no jet lag and white sandy beaches on your doorstep.

Life in the Maldives

Besides the tropical white sandy beaches, crystal blue water, and clear skies, the Maldives has a lot to offer. When it comes to work, flying as a Pilot for Manta Air will give you the opportunity to see the Maldives from above and appreciate working in such a great location.

As well as flying across picturesque landscapes on a daily basis, life outside of work can be great in the Maldives. Don’t be fooled by its size and small population as there is plenty to see and do on both the local islands and resorts. Whether it's fishing, scuba diving or water sports, expats will be spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing a new island hobby.

With a great culture, the Maldives is renowned for its welcoming community and its people are known for being extremely hospital to expats and tourists. So, anyone with the dream of relocating to this paradise will find it easy to settle into their new way of life.

Fleet

Manta Air has an ethos of being safe, reliable, comfortable and operating seamless journeys to their customers – ultimately “treating every passenger as a VIP.” Their main goal is to ensure journeys include three key factors: comfort, safety and luxury travel. To live up to their promise they have invested in the best and newest aircraft on offer. Opting for the ATR72-600s, every aircraft in Manta Air’s fleet is brand new, eco-friendly and fuel-efficient meaning Pilots will be flying the best ATR aircraft in the market.

Could your Manta Air flying career be just around the corner?

Manta Air is looking for First Officers (CPL accepted) and Captains to fly and command the newest ATR72-600 in the skies of the Maldives.

On offer to the right Pilots is a tax-free salary of USD 4,000 plus bonuses and insurance, as well as accommodation provided for the first month of training. After which Pilots will be given a USD 1,200 accommodation allowance. Additionally, Pilots will benefit from a steady roster of five days on/ two days off, with one month off every four months.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Pilots to live and work in the Maldives, benefiting not only from a great career with Manta Air but also a great lifestyle.
