With the launch of a new fully integrated training program, you'll not only deliver the all important ATPL(H) ground school but will have the opportunity, if desired, to refine your flying skills gaining invaluable hours of experience as an integrated Flying Instructor (FI). Job Summary:
Teaching experience or a teaching qualification is desirable but not essential. It would be advantageous to have experience instructing helicopter specific subjects.
The technical subjects required are as follows:
  • Instrumentation
  • Airframe and Systems, Electrics, Power Plant and Emergency Equipment
  • Air Law
  • Flight Planning and Flight Monitoring
  • Operational Procedures
  • Principles of Flight (Helicopter)
  • Performance (Helicopter)
  • Mass and Balance
 
Brief Job Description:
 
· Development of training resources.
· Effective delivery of Theoretical Knowledge and Practical Flying Instruction
· Student liaison and pastoral care related to theoretical/flying training.
· Participate in standardisation of TKIs.
· To prepare and update ATPL course materials in accordance with the latest syllabus,
· Making modifications in anticipation of future syllabus changes.
· To act as Course Mentor on a rotational basis.
· To provide guidance and support to individual students.
· Provide feedback to students on their performance and identify areas where they may need additional support or remedial training.
· Offer guidance and additional instruction as necessary to help students achieve required standards.
· To maintain accurate course records.
 
*This role can be for Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (TKI) OR a Combined TKI and Flying Instructor Role – Candidate specific.
 
Working Hours
Permanent & Part Time – up to 40 hours per week available
Salary
Depending on experience (available on sub contracted day rates or salary)
