GOOSE Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading cargo airline to recruit an Operations Duty Officer to join their busy Operations Department.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of cargo operations, supporting the Duty Manager in ensuring the smooth, safe, and compliant delivery of daily flight activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Operations Duty Manager in the oversight and control of daily cargo operations.
- Ensure all operations comply with aviation regulations and company standards.
- Liaise with crew, customers, and dispatch teams to manage flight scheduling and resolve operational issues.
- Collaborate with third-party providers to ensure smooth dispatching and service delivery.
- Review flight confirmations, briefs, and operational documentation.
- Monitor compliance across all dispatch activities and ensure flight setups meet regulatory and time limitation requirements.
- Maintain accurate operational data and support pre- and post-flight processes.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and report issues through official channels.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operational performance.
- Participate in structured Duty Manager training to support career progression.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in aviation operations, dispatch, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of dispatch procedures, ground operations, customs, dangerous goods, and aviation security.
- Familiarity with IATA and IOSA standards.
- Experience using aviation management systems (ideally LEON and PPS).
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organised, calm under pressure, and customer-focused.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Enthusiastic learner with a keen interest in career progression.
- You must hold the existing right to live and work in the UK to be considered.
