Role Overview:
Ensure smooth operations of vintage aircraft, delivering premium flight experiences, training, and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Voluntary Ground Crew Scheme: Recruit, train, and manage ground crew; allocate staff for events.
- Flight & Operational Procedures: Develop and update operational manuals; coordinate with airfields and aircraft providers; manage audits.
- Technical Knowledge: Stay updated on relevant legislation and technical information; manage event applications.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Oversee aircraft and equipment maintenance; resolve customer inquiries.
- Budgetary Controls: Manage the operations budget; track and report expenditure.
- Miscellaneous: Organize aircraft movements and pilot transport; lead operational meetings; facilitate communication.
- Pilots license highly desirable.
- Interpersonal skills: Ability to manage personnel of varying skill, knowledge and seniority levels and across a range of disciplines, able to deal with conflict effectively and professionally.
- Communication skills: both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise at all levels.
- Listening skills: is able to understand staff and clients’ needs and has ability to empathise.
- Problem analysis and problem solving: ability to understand the complexity of a situation and is resourceful in resolving a situation with speed and accuracy.
- Planning and organising: is structured and organised in day-to-day tasks and is able to re-prioritise workload as the business requires and in a timely manner.
