GOOSE Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a Junior Operations Officer on behalf of a reputable operator based in London.

The Operations Officers make up the core of flight operations team and are essential to the smooth and efficient running of the operations department. From providing excellent customer service through to booking in and planning flights, the operations team are required to be flexible and dynamic and must
portray a helpful and can- do attitude to our clients, suppliers and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 24/7 cover for all operational directions and queries.
  • Fully understanding mission requirements and setting up the flights as required.
  • Ensuring the optimum use of resources (aircraft and crews) within the crew duty and maintenance limitations.
  • Coordinating and confirming flights with the operator and relevant parties such as handling agents, fuellers, customs and immigration, etc..
  • Monitor the progress of flights and ensure the customer is kept up to date in a timely manner.
  • Identify potential resolutions/recovery plans when required.
  • Identify situations where escalation to line mangers is appropriate.
  • Implementing recovery plans in the event of delays, AOG’s etc.
  • Accurately complete company flight logs and post flight data.
  • Effectively Contributing to procedures and other documents.
  • Other reasonable work-related requests as directed by the Line Manager.
Essential skills & Qualifications:
  • A demonstrable interest in both aviation and service delivery to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Team Working and Communication with exceptional interpersonal skills and experience of interaction at all levels including clients,
    senior management and board level.
  • Attention to Detail; a highly analytical eye for detail with tenacity and proactivity to ensure the highest levels of accuracy efficiency and organisation in all responsibilities.
  • Flexibility/Resilience; a flexible approach to working hours - the role will require weekend work and on call rota.
  • Dealing effectively with day-to-day responsibilities, often under time-pressure.
  • Integrity and Commitment; ability to demonstrate a high level of integrity and work ethic.
  • A can-do attitude with a keen willingness to learn and develop.
  • Good IT knowledge of Microsoft suite of programmes and the ability to perform & analyse mathematical calculations.
Location- Gatwick, London
