Operations Officers play a key role within the flight operations team, supporting the smooth and efficient delivery of daily operations. The role requires adaptability, excellent customer service, and a proactive, solutions focused approach when working with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
 
Location: Crawley
Shift Work: Rotating shift pattern
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 24/7 operational support and respond to operational queries
  • Understand mission requirements and set up flights accordingly
  • Coordinate and confirm flights with operators, handling agents, fuellers, customs, and immigration
  • Apply for landing and overflight permissions
  • Monitor flights, keep customers informed, and escalate issues when required
  • Optimise aircraft and crew usage within duty and maintenance limits
  • Implement recovery plans for delays, AOGs, and disruptions
  • Complete flight logs, post-flight data, and contribute to procedures
  • Work collaboratively with Commercial and Customer Service teams
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as directed by the Line Manager

  • Previous experience in an aviation operations environment
