Key Responsibilities Supply Chain & Stores Operations
- Lead efficient, cost-effective operations in procurement, logistics, warehousing, and inventory control
- Ensure regulatory and safety compliance across all stores and logistics processes
- Oversee import/export procedures, ensuring customs compliance
- Manage the inspection, storage, and record-keeping of all aviation components and tools
- Assess and monitor suppliers for both new and used aviation parts
- Drive cost-efficiency and service quality through supplier performance tracking
- Negotiate and manage contracts and sub-contracts, ensuring inspection and quality control standards are met
- Develop supply chain strategies in line with company objectives
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement, sustainability, and risk mitigation
- Optimise inventory management and streamline operational processes
- Ensure full adherence to health and safety policies and aviation regulations
- Lead reporting for audits, accidents, and incidents, driving accountability and action
- Promote a proactive safety culture across the supply chain function
- Lead and mentor the stores team, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement
- Provide coaching, encourage qualifications enhancement, and support individual development
- Maintain a focus on safety, compliance, and team morale
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and finance to align supply chain activities with business goals
- Serve as the key supply chain expert across departments, driving alignment and shared success
- Qualifications: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
- Experience: Demonstrable experience in a senior supply chain role, ideally within aviation or a related technical environment
- Skills: Strong negotiation and supplier management, excellent analytical ability, and proficient in supply chain systems
- Leadership: Proven leadership in managing teams in a regulated, safety-critical setting
- Compliance: Strong understanding of supply chain regulations, including HSE and airworthiness requirements
