EASA Licensed H145 COMMANDER (HEMS)
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable H145 Commander to join a dynamic HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) operation in Portugal. This role requires strong decision‑making skills, operational leadership, and the ability to perform safely in time‑critical missions across multiple bases.
Key Requirements
- Portuguese native ideal, but Portuguese language proficiency is essential.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in Portuguese in operational settings.
- Minimum 5000+ hours Total Time strongly preferred.
- 7 days on / 7 days off roster.
- Travel days included within the duty period.
- €100/day travel allowance for travel days.
- No per diems, but travel, hotel, and all related expenses are covered.
- Non‑current candidates / expired licences accepted (revalidation supported).
- 6‑month initial bond, total 2‑year commitment if the candidate does not have current H145 License.
- Must live in Portugal or close enough to operate from multiple bases.
- High degree of flexibility, as no single fixed base is guaranteed.
- Act as Pilot‑in‑Command (PIC) for all HEMS missions using the Airbus H145.
- Lead and manage crew during mission planning, execution, and post‑flight phases.
- Make sound operational decisions in demanding, time‑critical environments.
- Ensure compliance with flight safety, regulatory standards, and company procedures.
- Maintain strong communication with medical teams, dispatch, and operational control.
- Stable long‑term contract with structured rotation.
