Are you a skilled Financial Accountant to take on a new opportunity with a reputable airline in the Channel Islands. We are looking for an adaptable, approachable, problem-solver who's eager to contribute and support the company's development and goals.

The Company

You will be joining an established airline in a beautiful location in the Channel Islands, working in a supportive and dynamic environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and preparing monthly and annual financial statements.

Your main duties will include:
  • Overseeing accounting functions across General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Billing, Cashbook, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Preparing month-end and year-end financial reports and reconciliations.
  • Supporting internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.
  • Providing day-to-day support and mentorship to trainee accountants.

About You

You will be a qualified or actively training in accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, or equivalent) with proven experience within the accounting function from trial-balance through to audited financial statements.

You will also bring:
  • Strong attention to detail and high numeracy skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as SAGE and Microsoft.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
    Experience in aviation or high-volume FMCG environments, and familiarity with airline accounting processes, will be advantageous.
Airside work may be necessary, so to successfully complete GSAT security training and obtain an appropriate airside pass there must be a verifiable five-year work history, and a current police check will be required.
