Operations Controller / Client Operations Manager - Business Aviation South East, UK
£45,000-£55,000 DOE + up to 20% discretionary bonus
Full‑time | On‑site | Shift‑based
 
GOOSE Recruitment is proud to say that we are looking for a people‑focused Operations Controller with ideally a strong account‑management instincts — someone who enjoys building client relationships as much as running a smooth, safe, and efficient operation.
With a diverse fleet that includes helicopters, and private jet management across multiple regions, no two days will look the same. This is an ideal role for someone who lives and breathes aviation and thrives in a varied, hands‑on environment.

Why this role exists The helicopter division and Fixed wing fleet is growing, and the current Ops team needs additional support as the business scales. This is a growth hire, with potential backfill considerations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as part of the duty operations team, supporting live and upcoming flights across a multi‑aircraft fleet.
  • Deliver exceptional client service — building strong relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact.
  • Coordinate daily operations including routing, permissions, logistics, and supplier communications.
  • Work with external partners for admin-heavy tasks such as flight planning and certain out‑of‑hours support.
  • Assist in resolving operational challenges such as weather, AOG, last‑minute changes, and crew/Law/FTL considerations.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and ensure regulatory compliance with internal procedures and AOC standards.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in workflows, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
Role Structure & Hours
  • On-site position (no hybrid currently).
  • Initial Monday-Friday with occasional weekend cover (specific rota to be discussed in advance by the team).
  • Operational coverage runs 07:00-22:00, supported by outsourced evening duty for US-based activity.
What We're Looking For
  • A people‑person with strong operational instincts (relationship‑builder first, operations specialist second).
  • Someone dynamic, positive, and confident speaking with clients and crew.
  • Experience in aviation operations, client operations, or a dual ops/account role.
  • Organised, calm under pressure, and comfortable handling time‑sensitive decisions.
  • Flexible enough to support a changing rota including weekends.
  • Within ~1 hour commute — longer becomes unsustainable.
Salary, Bonus & Benefits
  • £45,000-£55,000, depending on experience (flexible for the right person).
